LAUNCHED IN 2018, LUKE AND BRENT ARE TWO LONGSTANDING FRIENDS WHO’VE TRAVELLED THE WORLD TOGETHER, SPECIFICALLY THEIR HEARTS FELL FOR FLAVOURS AND TECHNIQUES IN THAILAND AND MEXICO.

NOW THE GUYS WANT TO BRING THESE INCREDIBLE WORLD-WIDE TASTES AND IDEAS TO GREATER MANCHESTER. AND WITH THAT, THEY LOVE KEEPING THINGS LOCAL, USING SUPPLIERS FROM CLOSE BY WHO THEY TRUST AND KNOW DELIVER THE FINEST INGREDIENTS.

We’ve travelled the world, tasted the flavours and seen how authentic chefs from across the globe carry out their passions; now we want to do the same for you.

Luke Barnes Chef

With over 25 years’ experience at the forefront of the hospitality industry, Luke has worked as a successful executive and head chef in a range of top culinary businesses, including restaurants, contract catering, gastropubs, hotels, private dining and outside activations, both in the UK and abroad. Trained by celebrity chef Gary Rhodes, Luke learnt his trade at Up & Down, before becoming Head Chef at Players in Hale. He then went to owning his own neighbourhood restaurant, Chorlton Green Brasserie.

Now championing all things Choza, he can really expand on his passions and discovery from travelling the world with business partner Brent, combing different cultures, techniques and colours into the ever-changing menus they offer.

Luke describes cooking as his ‘therapy’; he says he loves nothing more than zoning out in his kitchen, listening to Ibiza classics with a glass of red, cooking for friends and family, ready to enjoy a meal together.

Choza - Brent Norbury

Having an early and eager interest in food Brent was a Chef in his younger years, before he went travelling. He followed his dad’s passion for food (his dad was a chef at Gleneagles) and completed various cooking courses whilst in Thailand, Vietnam and Australia.

On his return home, he decided to put all his energy into the Property Industry, investing and renovating properties in the North West, mainly in Manchester. Partnering up with his brother they have made a name for themselves as reputable, trustworthy landlords & have a thriving portfolio.

However, his interest in food has never lapsed and last year, he & Luke set up Choza, initially a hobby, that has hit the floor running. Working with Luke who is such a highly qualified chef, has put a tick on his bucket list!
